An M.S. in Food Technology is a postgraduate program that focuses on the scientific principles behind food production, processing, preservation, packaging, and distribution. Advanced knowledge and skills are provided to students to develop safe, nutritious, and sustainable food products, while addressing challenges in the food industry. The curriculum is a blend of different disciplines, including food chemistry, microbiology, and nutrition biotechnology.

This course helps the students to get exposures to food industry and they can become an entrepreneur The course emphasizes the hands on experience in different areas of food science including processing, nutrition, packaging, preservation, food safety, quality control and marketing. The students will be given opportunity to take up research project on any emerging areas of food technology to enable them to have a preliminary idea on research aspects in food industry, to inculcate research aptitude and to provide them the right ambience for conducting research.
