Padmashree Institute of Management and Sciences (PIMS), had its start in the year 2000. The motto of PIMS is to impart quality education, inculcate scientific temper and ethical values among its students. Now the institute has accelerated its expansion in establishing new courses of scientific and global importance. Under the able governance and leadership The college has been recognised by UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(b), affiliated to Bangalore university and recognised by Government of Karnataka. PIMS is one and only DDU KAUSHAL Kendra in Bangalore, supported by UGC, New Delhi and approval from the state government to offer unique job-oriented courses in Food sector and Medical Biotechnology. Government of Karnataka and DBT, New Delhi supported to establish prestigious Biotech Finishing School in phase I and continued as Biotechnology Skill Enhancement Program in phase II. PIMS also has recognised R&D center with state of art laboratory facilities
